The end of the world?
Hey everyone.I hope that everyone is aware of the recent news on the natural disasters on Japan, New Zealand and the floods that happened earlier in Australia. My question is that do any of these all these natural disasters have any implications or possibly, will they be able to build up to other natural disasters in the not to distant future? I did read about the tsunami reaching the coast of USA.So is it possible for any of these disasters to cause others. Also, are any of these disasters related in any way? Thanks in advanced

Question on natural disasters in Australia, Japan and NZ?
THE LAST SUPPER_cosmicwave_ It can be helped.I can't bare the fact that I'm just sitting here and doing nothing while all in second the bits are fast sweeping into dust. And all in a sudden the odds are coming faster than expexted. This might meant nothing to you, or you might think that this is just a man's article out of nowhere but take this, I'll be writing down my perceptives in a hope that this MIGHT CHANGE or ATLEAST MIGHT HELP increase our HOPES.I will not stop you if you don't want to continue nor I won't settle on anything else, persuading, just to change your point of view. This is, as I want to say, something that I can't contain inside my head, that it just came and wrote itself up.Last night, I had heard something less ordinary, a shock that was so devastating that it made my eyes cry out.Last night was a part of it.A part of the chain that was starting to swallow all that was built under the sun."Everything shall perish under the sky",i can't stop myself from thinking this but bare it in your mind, if this fears you enough, then stop.Last night, I heard the terryfying news about the earthquake followed by the tsunami that hit Japan.Yes, as I said, it was a part of a chain. What chain? As all of us know, the calamaities' rate had seemed to increase gradually not just any other nature's roar but includes descriptive number of man's threat. In a blink of an eye things about earthquakes, people powers, wars had flooded out the news.A fast alarming rate that made me think of this 2012 thing.Honetsly, I had onced believed this, inevitable enough, and like many of you, I pray to the Lord that it shall not happen.2012 ain't just any another year or any other change of calendar. It is a year we have always feared yet again, we don't want to believe it.But now, the impossiblities are low.The Mayans and Nostradame, does it all end in here? Is everything [really] happening faster than expected? Are the predictions right? No matter what...it's all because of US.But DON'T FORGET THIS, THERE'S STILL TIME.It may be too late but it never was.Think of this, plenty of times had we only come to GOD in moment's of despair but rarely in time's of happiness.Sometimes, we even blame him if things don't go our way, but to see the reason why, we only have the slightest chance to look at it.There are [also] time's when we only pray because others are praying.Sometimes we even broadcast it to others only for them to see that we are praying,,that we are good enough to look up on.This can only feel heartily if it only was sincere,.Sincerity and devotion, that's all HE needs. In way, have you ask yourself or have you even had this tiny little thought or have it ever croosed your mind that GOD has sacrificed a lot to redeem our sins? Are we blind enough to see? Are we deaf? Physically we are not, spiritually we are.I am not preaching nor telling you what you must or musnt' do.Clearly, there are times when I consider myself one of these people but I only say this to enlighten you.I want to be a source of illumination, if it's the only thing to help save the world or even give us some extension.I was just trying...but it can be helped if GOD really wants it this way."IF ITS MEANT TO BE THEN ITS MEANT TO BE BUT I STILL DO ASK FOR SOME EXTENSIONS".I don't ask for myself but for the world. What about those little kids? My llitle brother who's still inside my mother's womb. What about those other children like him? Those who want reach their dreams? Those whose HOPES are still up? And those who haven't seen it all? The world may not hold us long but there's still LIGHT, isn't there? This might be redundant enough but who cares? Yes, we have only prayed now because something bad had hit Japan but can I ask you guys a little more favor to pray not just because its needed but because you wanted to.Pray not only for Japan but for the whole world. It's clear enough that we only ask HIM if we are in trouble but don't remain yourself staedfast in such an upside state of way.Let us pray not only because there's darkness but too pray because there's light. We are in a dark time, facing a greater challenge we fear above all.But if we can only show GOD that we are worth savinf then a miracle might happen.I always believe in miracles because miracles are infinite possiblities.Americans, Japanese, Dutch, French, Spanish, Koreans, Filipinos and the WORLD, and when I say the WORLD, I meant the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.We can still hold each others hand, embrace our differences and work together for what is it that lies beyond.,IT WAS TOO LATE BUT IT NEVER WAS.I can still feel you all.I can still feel your hearts.I LOVE THE WHOLE WORLD ao please don't disaapoint me[HIM].i really do, even recounting this words just to talk to you and I hope that this isn't futile enough.I know that I can't persuade you al

Pokemon creator rumored to have died in tsunami?

Do you believe Allah save you from earth quake and tsunami?
The western coast (and even Hawaii) were quite far from the epicenter of the earthquake. Is it just because the energy released from the earthquake was immensely big, or is it just that there is not enough friction in oceans to stop these waves?

Why can a tsunami still retain much of its force after long distances?
If yes, what was the severity and was there any damage, and where was it worst affected?

Did the tsunami hit the Pilippines yesterday?
Who thinks we are safe in Europe from Japan type devastating earthquakes and tsunamis? WRONG.250 years etc ago there was 9.2 earthquake just off the coast of Portugal...Japan's earthquake was only 8.9.A 9.2 earthquake in the same spot would send a tsunami bigger than yesterday's tsunami that hit Japan to the following countries: PORTUGAL, SPAIN, ENGLAND, FRANCE, lowlands of Netherlands, etcQUESTION: Would anyone in the know, please informa us if the earthquake off the coast of Portugal 250 years ago and the gigantic tsunami are likely to happen again SOON or do these things happen every 1,000 years or so? Thank you.

JAPAN: Who thinks that...?
I heard on the news that Hawaii along with a few other countries were meant to be hit by the Japanese Tsunami but only Japan is being mentioned so I was wondering if anyone knew if it had hit yet or if not when it will? And before you leave any stupid comments like "Do you not care about Japan then?" I do care and I do realise they got it very bad but I'm interested to know whats happening to the other countries.

to save people from stuff like the tsunami in Japan? This is what we theists are talking about, higher forces that we people can not do anything about.Earthquake proof constructions? We can not stop nature and god, and do not expect this to be the last disaster.

Don't you hope there is god?
An explosion at a Japanese nuclear power station tore down the walls of one building on Saturday as smoke poured out and Japanese officials said they feared the reactor could melt down following the failure of its cooling system in Friday's powerful earthquake and tsunami.RT talks about the earthquake and it's effects to Dr.Robert Jacobs, a research associate professor of nuclear history and culture at Hiroshima Peace Institute. The extent of the damage left behind by the ferocious tsunami unleashed by Japan's biggest recorded earthquake was slowly becoming clearer by Saturday afternoon. The earthquake on Friday killed hundreds of people as it carried away ships, cars and homes, and triggered widespread fires that burned out of control. The violent wall of water swept away houses, cars and ships.Fires burned out of control.

(As if football is ever discussed on here anyway)Apparently the Earths axis has shifted by 10inches since the Earthquake in Japan. To all those weather experts on here, is it possible that the quake could cause changing weather across every country on the Globe? For example, who else thought it was going to be snowing here in sunny Glasgow this morning?

SFS: Putting football aside for a moment?
Could something like that possibly change the weather in every country accross the world. For example, we're half way through march here in Scotland and its snowing again.Might be a stupid question but Im no weather expert.James:http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Japan+quake+shifts+earth+axis+centimetres/4426356/story.htmlhttp://www.vancouversun.com/news/Japan+earthquake+factbox+Entire+Japan+coast+shifted+metres+earth+axis+moves+inches/4425617/story.htmlhttp://thevancouversun.tumblr.com/post/3792246152/earthquake-factbox-entire-japan-coast-shifted-2-4

Japan Quake shifts Earths axis by TEN inches?
JAPAN's peoples are in need of our help although many NATION are providing every help and aid to JAPAN but as an indian citizen I want to provide every help to our peoples in japan not only to indian but also to Japan's peoples can any one suggest me the way to provide relief to japan

I am very shocked over JAPAN earth quake and tsunami now in india how I can help japan"s people?
I am aware a earth quake occurred in Japan along with a Tsunami, i offer the people of Japan all my sympathy and will donate to the disaster relief cause. Here is my question, a few days ago i was writing a story for my manga and hoped to get it published, it was a war fiction that involved fighting in Japan along with an earth quake, this morning i was shocked to see the death and destruction in Japan and now i feel so bad for all the people in Japan. If i do get my work published will be considered sick and distasteful even in the future or should i just scrap it all together and work on something else? Is it okay to use the earthquake scene as a memorial to honor the victims instead or will that still considered sick? I am so sorry if anyone has lost someone in this disaster and so sorry of i offended you, i just wanted to know your opinion, i don't blame you if you hate me for asking this question.

Will writing a story that coincidentally includes a real life natural disaster be offensive?
In Japan the loss of life was only 1000 (thank God) while in our country more than thousand dies every year due to flood or any other accident.Don't you feel they have more respect for human life. They use technologies which is useful to their people while in most Asian countries still outdated technology is used and that too is full of corruption.Kelsy i agree with you ..the people who are left to mourn their loved ones will have difficulty in moving ahead .

What lesson you have learned from recent tsunami and earth quake in Japan .?
Is it retrograde Saturn at 21 degrees of earth sign Virgo opposition to Sun at 26 degrees of Aquarius or opposition to Mars who is at 18 degrees of Aquarius? On friday 11/03/11 quake time, the moon was also in the earth sign Taurus.Uranus is in the water sign Pisces.Sun will enter on 15 March in Pisces.2.46 pm Sendai, 11/03/11 Japan gives Cancer rising, Saturn in 3rd house and Mars and Sun in 8th house, Venus in 7th house, Rahu in 6th house, Jupiter and Mercury in 9th house, Retrograde Saturn is in opposition to his own house and to his enemies Mars and Sun.Apart from Japan there are other quake prone areas too in this world but this time it was Japan.

I just got a DVR yesterday and I recorded a show. After the show was done and recorded, I shut off the surge protection power bar for my whole home theatre system ( which I do every night to save electricity and because of my radiation paranoia ), but today when I turned the power back on for it, the DVR doesn't have the recorded show.It does say that my DVR is now 7% full ( it was 0% when I first got it yesterday ) so that means it did record something, but it doesn't show up in "My Recordings" So I have 2 problems.First, why did I lose my recording and how do I get it back? does shutting off the main power to the DVR delete the recordings? And second, how do I get rid of the 7% used? Does this mean that I just lost 7% of my brand new DVR's harddrive and there's no way to get it back??

When I turned off my DVR's power overnight, I lost my recorded show, but memory is still used?

Can the four workers injured survive after being exposed to high levels of radiation?
Hi! The biggest and most "serious" German mainstream news outlet (www.tagesschau.de) has been saying for the past 6 hours that the jeopardized Japanese nuclear power plant is "hydrogen cooled".I cannot imagine that a highly combustible gas is used to cool a reactor, however, they are journalists (in the biggest German news outlet) and so I guess I'm the idiot and they aren't.Can someone shed some light into this? Thanks :)

Are there nuclear reactors with hydrogen cooling?
These people made their own bed.Sadly, they have to sleep in it now and pay the piper.Travis, Tornadoes don't cause meltdowns or explode nuclear plants.

Japan nuclear reactor explodes. What magnitude of damage can the high levels of radiation cause?

People often ask what a woman gets out of the submissive role. But why does the man enjoy the dominant role? Does he feel more of a man? Do all men secretly want a woman to be helpless and unable to resist their advances? Is it that they can treat the woman like a sex object and not get criticised for it? What is it that turns men on in this role?

What do men get out of dominating a woman sexually?
they're like hate filled demons! no matter who doesn't agree, we all have to live together.everyone has their own negative views but you have to learn to be civil.what does everyone think?

I really love this anime and I've been searching for some animes like 11eyes.I even went to MyAnimeList.net and clicked on Recommendations for 11eyes, but they mentioned Higurashi, and as most people know, Higurashi is horror and psychological anime, and it's nothing like 11eyes.(I watched Higurashi). They also mentioned Chäos;HEAd and Ookami Kakushi, but I looked up and they are both horror.11eyes is NOT horror. So any suggestions?

Do you know any animes like 11eyes?

Well, as the title says, Why do , mostly Christians in my case, But Im sure there are more monotheistic beliefs that think the same, think Atheists are Evil and Bad? I'm not a Christian, and I hate people for blaming me that I'm going to hell and I screw up the world or something.I do live in a society where Atheism is very common, about 41% here, (The Netherlands), are Non-believers.But the majority of Believers think I'm evil and I deserve to burn in hell for eternity.WHY? What have I done wrong that people wish things like that to me? o_o

Why do people always think that Atheists are Evil?
So i'm 17 and in my last year of high school.Obviously i can't write my whole life story here so i'll try to make it as succint as possible:I use to feel really down for no reason ( i THINK it was depression) and i didn't see any reason to live.as a result i learned and found god through one of my friends, and i believe my life has become better by fari have quite a few friends but also there are some awkward moments and i feel for a lot of the time that i am not includedthere is a VERY complicated history with a girl (who is currently my "friend") and our relationship between each other is very ambiguous and undefinedi just feel really bad whenever i see people i know having fun and stuff my age and i wish i could be like them. What do you think of the situation? Did you guys go through/are going through these feelings? Is it normal for a teen?

Is this depression or just teen angst? 10 points most helpful answer?

I’m not a big facebook person and don’t get on it very often. My boyfriend of 1.5 years is much more into facebook than I am and likes to socialize with people a lot on there (which I have no problem with).I recently noticed that he is friends with a lot of his exes and some of his old “booty calls” on there. And yes, I am positive they are his exes and old booty calls because he has discussed his past with me very openly, including names. Some of them were his friends on there before he and I started dating but there are others he actually added AFTER we started dating (which seems strange to me…wouldn’t it be normal to deny a friend request from an ex if you are now dating someone else??).I didn’t have an issue with this at first until I noticed these girls post on his wall regularly (and he responds) and he posts on their walls as well.Like I said, I’m not a big facebook person so I really don’t know if this is normal or not.Would you be okay with your gf/bf being friends with all of their exes and people they had sex with? Would I be overreacting to be upset about this? We are both 23 years old.

How do I get an A (or even a decent grade) in AQA AS Psychology exams?
I'm 17 years old and right now I'm studying social science in high school.I haven't really thought about my future yet, but I know for sure that I want a job that helps people. What are some jobs, besides medical and firemen, that helps people who suffer? I don't care that much about the money, even if it's good to earn enough money to pay for your house, clothes and food.

What kind of job helps people?

People of politics: who is your favorite singer/band and how do you lean politically?
This terrible tragedy in Japan got me thinking.I recall on this site when Haiti was hit a while back with an earthquake some people asking was Haiti being punished by God for what ever reason (I forget maybe allowing homosexual marriage or bad government or whatever, it doesn't really matter). My question is this .....If a Christian really thinks God makes disasters happen to punish a country for it's actions why would God , a God of love punish everybody in that country or affected area? Is it only those who are not faithful to God who die or suffer? If good Christians die as well why is God murdering them along with sinners ?

A question about disasters , not intended of make a joke of them in light of what happened in Japan?
how do you talk to people in your classes without being awkward? The teacher only lectures all the time so I don't have much time to really talk to people. It feels like even if you're in the same class, it's awkward to just walk up and talk to them especially when they have their own groups of friends and I have nothing to talk about.

how do you make friends in high school classes?
I can't tell you how many people have told me that I come across as too serious and mature. One even said to me that they couldn't tell whether I was being sarcastic or not because they think that I'm serious about everything.I do have my not so serious side to me - it's just that some people don't really pick up on that.I will admit that I am dedicated to my school work.I will take someone seriously because what kind of person would I be if I didn't believe what they said? And as for my maturity..Well, being immature isn't exactly going to do any good for your reputation and personally, I can't stand immaturity.I actually want to get involved in activism for equality specifically for the LGBT community in the future. Is this "seriousness" a cause for concern?

My family & friends tell me I am too "serious" and "mature." I am fifteen, is this a cause for concern?
Some people have said they do it when they're jealous but I dont think that's true.Ive noticed girls giving me nasty looks and i thought they were jealous but then one basically told me im fat and now i think they just think im ugly.I mean im not very fat but not skinny either.I think most people idolize beautiful people cuz why else would a place like Hollywood exist?

Do you think girls only give ugly girls mean or disgusted looks?

How do i stop my aunt from lying on my bed whenever she wants?
Why do neo-Salafis, by neo Salafi I mean the groups who explicitly call themselves Salafi, claim that there are no differences between their movement and Ahlus Sunnah when there are fundamental differences some of which include1.Neo-Salafis have repudiated the traditional methodology of Ahlus Sunnah that is the madhhab, some among them even call followers of Ahlus Sunnah 'blind follower muqallids' mocking taqlid which has been the methodology of the jamaah for exactly how long!? They ignore the fact that the Imams of Fiqh were among the Salaf.2.Some of these Neo Salafis also believe Allah is a jism thus fundamental differences in aqeedah, proof:http://www.salafitalk.net/st/printthread…3.Neo Salafis repudiate Asharis who are part of Ahlus Sunnah and have always been4.Neo Salafis exaggerate Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab even labelling him 'Shaykhul Islam', however we see the reality of the Wahhabis in the works of Imam Abu Zahra and even his own brother who refuted him, both were of Ahlus Sunnah.Ibn Abdul Wahhab is a very controversial character among scholars of Ahlus Sunnah but they take the most extreme view of him juxtaposed to the Shia who take the other end5.Neo Salafis also impugn tasawwuf even tough all four Imams of Fiqh acclaimed it, the Wahhabis even make takfir of Sufis6.Some of Neo-Salafis especially followers of Ibn Abdul Wahhab who also practiced it make open takfir of people, some of them even make takfir of each other although this has been impugned by some of their own Salafi scholars like Shaykh Abdullah Al-FarsiThese people who follow Ibn Abdul Wahhab will declare you a kafir because of that, their Sheikh Ibn Abdul Wahhab even permitted the killing of Sufis yet you say to not expose their deviation? A nice article by Shaykh Jamil Effendi al-Siqdi al-Zahawi on the doctrines of Ahlus Sunnah vs Salafi movementhttp://www.ummah.com/Al_adaab/fajr.htmlBrother AhmadI LIKE YOUR QUESTION SO I REPEATED - PLEASE FORGIVE MEIT IS BROTHER AHMAD'S QUESTION.

What will happen with Japan's industry and economy after these disasters?
I know not all of us live in seismic zones like they do.But have you at least noticed that your world can be wiped out in a matter of minutes if the planet decides to do so.Just wondering if people get the hint that one must be prepared because if something hits you are basically on your own.Tubby tell that to those poor folks still trapped in the rubble unable to get help as we speak.Aurele...granted but how do you help if you haven't got a thing to help with simply stand next to a guy empty handed and waiting is kinda pointless.

How many of you have taken the hint from the Japan quake?

Will the Nuclear explosion in Japan have any effect on Hong Kong?
This may be too soon to ask...but...I have a flight scheduled to Japan (NRT, Tokyo) for march 30th and I was wondering if anyone knows or thinks it will be safe by then.I will be heading towards Akita City where friends have told me there was only minimal damage.I am supposed to be studying there for a semester at AIU a little outside the city and would like some advice as to if I should still go or not.Seeing as it is 18 days away I'd figured it would be safe enough granted another catastrophe doesn't occur (god forbid). My travel plans while there include taking a bus from NRT to Tokyo Station. Then a Willer night bus to Akita station.

When is it safe to travel to Japan again?

Let's say you work for a company that promoted you and you have a choice between moving to Miami or Tokyo, where would you choose? All your moving expenses will be fully paid by your company, and your salary would be adjusted for cost-of-living and currency exchange rate fluctuations.

Where would you rather live? Miami, Florida or Tokyo Japan?

What impact will the earthquake have on plane tickets as far as traveling to and through Japan?
I went out yesterday evening and the last I heard is that they put a tsunami warning on Oregon and California. And that there's was a warning for most of the Pacific basin. And that there was a nuclear plant that may or may not have failed to cool. What's happened? Has any more countries been struck with a tsunami?
