Can the four workers injured survive after being exposed to high levels of radiation?
Hi! The biggest and most "serious" German mainstream news outlet (www.tagesschau.de) has been saying for the past 6 hours that the jeopardized Japanese nuclear power plant is "hydrogen cooled".I cannot imagine that a highly combustible gas is used to cool a reactor, however, they are journalists (in the biggest German news outlet) and so I guess I'm the idiot and they aren't.Can someone shed some light into this? Thanks :)

Are there nuclear reactors with hydrogen cooling?
These people made their own bed.Sadly, they have to sleep in it now and pay the piper.Travis, Tornadoes don't cause meltdowns or explode nuclear plants.

Japanese are very smart. Is that proven by them building nuclear plants in midst of tsunami danger zones?

I never actually heard about this before. But I was reading news on Japan and...well, it got me curious.I heard someone say it could destroy half the world.Another said it could damage the brains of the next generation and more...I'm confused. What am I supposed to be scared of, really? Pray for Japan! Pray for the world.:)

After years of the UK government saying that there planing/looking into replace the Trident nuclear weapons (weather or not they do, is another question) at a cost of billions to the tax payer.Does anyone actually think that the UK government would launch a nuclear strike against anyone in the world?

UK Nuclear Weapons (Trident)?
Hello.I am a Japanese. The nuclear plant exploded. However, neither the government nor the mass communication in Japan give detailed information.I think that I am a situation as cruel as Chernobyl. However, I feel that the government and the mass communication think optimistically. How do the people in the country other than Japan feel it?

What fears do you have after Japan's nuclear reactor exploded?

I thought modern nuclear power stations were meant to be safe?
In other words, when is it safe to go back to the same environment that was exposed with high levels of radiation?

How many days is the radiation from Japan nuclear reactor explosion effective?
An explosion at a Japanese nuclear power station tore down the walls of one building on Saturday as smoke poured out and Japanese officials said they feared the reactor could melt down following the failure of its cooling system in Friday's powerful earthquake and tsunami.

Where to watch Japanese nuclear power station blast?
Also, how many miles will the radiation stretch into the environment? Residents in vicinity were evacuated long ago, so they are safe. How many animals and birds will die? I need an approximation.http://abcnews.go.com/International/workers-injured-explosion-japanese-nuclear-plant/story? id=13120888Mark will be going to visit the nuclear site without worry.PKRN$%
&*$, not sure what you're talking about.

Japan nuclear reactor explodes. What magnitude of damage can the high levels of radiation cause?
An explosion at a Japanese nuclear power station tore down the walls of one building on Saturday as smoke poured out and Japanese officials said they feared the reactor could melt down following the failure of its cooling system in Friday's powerful earthquake and tsunami.RT talks about the earthquake and it's effects to Dr.Robert Jacobs, a research associate professor of nuclear history and culture at Hiroshima Peace Institute. The extent of the damage left behind by the ferocious tsunami unleashed by Japan's biggest recorded earthquake was slowly becoming clearer by Saturday afternoon. The earthquake on Friday killed hundreds of people as it carried away ships, cars and homes, and triggered widespread fires that burned out of control. The violent wall of water swept away houses, cars and ships.Fires burned out of control.

blast at Fukushima nuke plant, Fukushima nuke plant out of control, Japan Devastated?
Or don't they care about the people of their countries? Torstein, Respectively!!

Will Japan and/or 0bama shut down all nuclear plants in Japan and/or US because of Fukushima disaster?
