Advisory Council seeks novel members

The Lord Chancellor's Advisory Council forward National Records and Archives is looking to insist on eight new members.

The Council advises the Lord Chancellor in successi records and archival matters, in notable access to historical information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI), and up policy issues relating to archival records.

It is chaired through the Master of the Rolls, Lord Dyson and its 17 members include experts with knowledge and experience in records, digital archives, academic research, information government, social and cultural history, Parliament and the municipal and diplomatic services.

Criteria

We are looking as far as concerns individuals who can demonstrate a proven skilfulness to form an independent view, take the ability to weigh up the residue of arguments, scrutinise and influence administration and engage and facilitate in strategic reflection.

Applicants should have a track personal history of contributing to senior level discussions and in like manner demonstrate expertise in one of the following areas:

rolls policy and information management

use of archives, e.g. as an academic or competent researcher, or journalist/media professional

the community policy and government, e.g. from one side experience of offering advice and enterprise scrutiny within the national political and administrative frame of government
